    Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina

Former Nottingham Forest star Andy Reid believes that Nigerian defender Ola Aina was greatly missed for the club while out with injury and expressed that the 29-year-old will be a big character for the remainder of the campaign.

Aina suffered a hamstring injury in September last year and was ruled out of action until January 2026. However, Aina recently made his way back into Forest’s starting XI and picked up where he left off.

According to Reid, Aina’s all-round game has greatly benefitted Forest’ recent run of results.

“He’s a big plus for this team coming back in,” Reid told Sky Sports, as per PunchNG.

“What he does, not just defensively but going forward as well, and then you couple that with the personality he brings in.

“He was a big miss when he was out. He brings that personality, defensive solidity and pace, but he’s also a real threat going forward. The manager will be delighted to have him back.”
