After much back-and-forth, Moroccan international Youssef En Nesyri has completed a move to Al Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League.

This is according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

Fenerbahçe will receive around €14 million, as well as 2018 World Cup winner Ngolo Kante joining the Turkish outfit from Al Ittihad after the termination of his contract.

The deal was originally blocked by FIFA due to Transfer Matching System (TMS) documents, which are electronic records mandated by FIFA for all international player transfers, not matching, according to Romano.

As the transfer deadline approached, the deal seemed unlikely. However, both clubs worked directly with FIFA in order to get the green light for the transfer to go ahead, which they managed to do.

En Nesyri was a frequently used substitute during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in his home country in December and January, coming off of the bench in all seven of the Atlas Lions’ games at the tournament, walking away with a silver medal.

The 28-year-old forward has notched 25 goals in 92 appearances for Morocco and could prove to be a valuable asset for Al Ittihad.
