Young Africans were eliminated as AS FAR Rabat progressed following the conclusion of the matchday six of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup group stage.

Rabat secured their place in the quarter-finals as Group B runners-up ahead of Young Africans, who finished third despite thrashing already-eliminated JS Kabylie 3-0 at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar City.

Therefore, Rabat became the eighth and last team to progress to the Champions League quarter-finals, after drawing 0-0 with Group B winners, Al Ahly at the Cairo International Stadium..

At the TP Mazembe Stadium, Maniema Union completed the Confederation Cup quarter-final line-up when they thrashed an already-eliminated Nairobi United 3-0 in Lubumbashi.

The emphatic win saw Maniema finish second in Group B behind Wydad AC, who wrapped up their successful group stage campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Azam at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

In Algiers, leaders CR Belouizdad wrapped up their Group C campaign with a 2-1 win over AS Otoho and the two teams met at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, having already booked their places in the knockout phase.

A Group C encounter between Stellenbosch FC and Singida Black Stars ended in a 0-0 draw at the DHL Cape Town Stadium, where Asekho Tiwani was sent off. However, Stars couldn’t take advantage of their numerical superiority.

At the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako, Djoliba thumped San Pedro 4-0 in a Group A dead-rubber and the two teams finished third, and fourth respectively.

Both Champions League and Confederation Cup knockout stages involve the eight teams qualifying as winners, and runners-up of each of the eight groups in the group stage.
