Manchester City and Algeria defender Rayan Ait-Nouri recently expressed how fellow countryman Riyad Mahrez told him everything he needs to know about the Citizens.
Ait-Nouri became City’s first summer signing ahead of the 2025/26 season, following an initial £31 million move from Wolverhampton Wanderers back in June, 2025.
Known for his technical prowess on the ball, Ait-Nouri revealed that he often spoke to Mahrez about City during his time with Wolves and that he was warmly received upon his move to the English giants.
“I talked a lot with him, even when I was at Wolverhampton,” Ait-Nouri said, as per Tribuna.
“And of course, at City, he told me about the club and the city. Everything he told me was true.
“He told me the city was great, that we’d be warmly welcomed in the dressing room, that everyone was really nice and that’s exactly what I found when I arrived.”
