Angolan striker Laurindo Dilson Maria Aurélio known as Depú is off to a flying start for his new club Young Africans.

The 26-year-old joined the Tanzanian giants from Radomiak Radom in Poland in mid January and has made an instant impact.

In his first seven games for Yanga, Depú has scored six goals and provided one assist.

In the CAF Champions League, he failed to find the back of the net in his first three games before netting twice in the club’s final group stage game against JS Kabylie. Yanga did not manage to secure a spot in the knockout stage, finishing third in group B, one point behind AS FAR.

Depú has taken the Tanzanian Premier League by storm, scoring four goals and dishing out one assist in three games.

The striker was not included in Angola’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, despite having 15 goals in 17 appearances for the Black Sable Antelope.

Young Africans sit second in the Tanzanian Premier League, three points behind JKT Tanzania who have played seven more league games.

The Angolan attacker will be looking to help the club claim its fifth consecutive league title and ensure their return to the continental stage next season.
