South African midfielder Gift Links has been named in the Danish Superliga’s Team of the Month for February and has been nominated for the league’s Player of the Month award.

The 27-year-old, who plays for Aarhus GF, bagged one goal and one assist in three league games in February, helping his side to claim two wins and a draw.

Links joined the Danish outfit in September 2019, leaving Cape Town City for the move abroad.

Despite his stellar performances in the Scandinavian nation this season, he has not been considered by Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos and has not played for the national team since September 2021.

The midfielder has started all 21 of his club’s league games this season and has bagged three goals and four assists.

He has been given the highest average rating of any player in the Danish Superliga this season by FotMob.

The Rustenburg native will be looking to continue his fine form and catch Broos’ eye ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup which begins in June.
