Former Liverpool star Peter Crouch believes that Bryan Mbeumo has been one of the signings of the season ahead of Manchester United’s test against Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils face the possibility of going into third position on the Premier League log this weekend following Aston Villa’s 2-0 loss against Wolves on Friday night.

With a superior goal difference, United could go level on points with Villa with a win against Palace while their recent run of form have been supplemented by the Cameroonian’s showing in front of goal.

As it stands, Mbeumo has scored nine goals in 22 games in the Premier League, a record of which Crouch believes is enough to label the African star as the signing of the campaign.

“I think Mbeumo for me [When asked about who he feels has been the best signing this season],” Crouch said on TNT Sports, as per United in Focus.

“He’s changed the dynamic of Manchester United. A finisher, he’s quick.

“He’s definitely brought a hell of a lot to United this season.”
