One of Manchester United’s African stars will be out of action during the upcoming international break following the Red Devil’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League last Friday.

The English giants boast a strong contingent of African stars currently, namely through the likes of Amad Diallo, Noussair Mazraoui and Bryan Mbeumo.

However, the club recently confirmed that Mbeumo withdrew from Cameroon’s friendly ties against Australia and China this month as a ‘precaution’.

Boasting nine goals and three assists in 26 Premier League games this season, Mbeumo was substituted in the 71st minute against the Cherries after picking up a niggle in the tie.

The former Brentford star will now remain at the club during a rehabilitation phase ahead of their league fixture against Leeds United at Old Trafford on Monday, 13 April.

With Mbeumo out of action, the club also revealed that Mazraoui has recovered from illness and will join the Morocco national team as they prepare to do battle against Ecuador and Paraguay respectively.
