    NEC FC goalkeeper Hannigton Ssebwalunyo emerged as the most important winner on the April version of the Fortebet Actual Stars Sports activities Month-to-month Awards held on Tuesday, Might 5, at Nanjing Restaurant in Kampala.

    The skilled shot-stopper loved a exceptional month, registering 5 clear sheets and scoring two targets — a uncommon feat for a goalkeeper. His excellent performances earned him his first-ever Actual Stars accolade forward of Maroons FC’s Ivan Mayanja and SC Villa ahead Frank Ssebuufu.

    In basketball, Rezlife Stars’ Edreene Ekau claimed the highest honour after averaging 20 factors per recreation, beating Metropolis Oilers’ Faheed Baale and KCCA Leopards’ Tracy Namugose.

    Pirates Rugby Membership’s Alex Aturinda walked away with the rugby award, edging Thunderbirds’ Proscovia Mukyala and Buffaloes’ Daniels Otim.

    The month-to-month awards are organised by Actual Stars Sports activities Company with sponsorship from Fortebet and Jude Color Options, recognising excellence throughout Uganda’s sporting disciplines.

    Ssebwalunyo acquired his accolade from Jude Color Options consultant Eron Nandawula within the presence of Actual Stars Company CEO Isaac Mukasa and Fortebet consultant Alex Muhangi.

    Talking after receiving the award, Ssebwalunyo credited teamwork and competitors throughout the squad for his spectacular performances.

    “I thank God for this achievement. This award comes from the unity throughout the staff and the competitors from fellow goalkeepers who consistently push me to enhance,” he mentioned.

    Since their launch in 2018, the Fortebet Actual Stars Sports activities Awards have continued to develop in prominence, celebrating excellent athletes in soccer, athletics, boxing, motorsport and different sporting disciplines.
