    Dr Dennis Mugimba, the Chairperson of the AFCON 2027 Uganda Sub-committee for communications has confirmed that Hoima Metropolis Stadium media tribune is to be widened in preparation for the continental showpiece to be co-hosted in East Africa.

    In February, the CAF inspection crew led by Dr Christian Emeruwa (Head of Security & Safety) and Stephanie Totokra (Head of Infrastructure) carried out the inspections at host venues for AFCON 2027 and declared that not one of the three internet hosting nations (Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania) was prepared.
