With CAF set to implement stricter regulations within African football, President Patrice Motsepe recently expressed that the federation will do all they can to protect their reputation.

The news comes after CAF faced a backlash around disciplinary issues among cases that concern the organization. CAF will now look to clamp down on governance issues with ‘greater clarity and firmness’, as Motsepe revealing that they will work on bettering its regulations.

As Motsepe leads the organization’s core decisions, CAF will now look to implement tougher sanctions, addressing misconduct in African football at a stricter level.

“We are working on improving our regulations,” Motsepe said, in a recent meeting with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, as per Sports247.

“We will enforce our rules. Sanctions will be stricter.

    “It’s about protecting our reputation.”
