Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Leonardo Castro has detailed what Brayan Leon needs to do to become successful during his career with the Brazilians.

Leon, who joined Sundowns in a big money move during the January transfer window, has taken like a duck to water at Chloorkop amid positive performances in the last couple of weeks.

The Colombian forward scored a brace for Sundowns during their 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday night. The result kept the Tshwane-giants in contention for the league title once more.

As it stands, Sundowns are three points behind Pirates on the log with a game in hand having won each of their last three Betway Premiership ties.

Speaking ahead of the Pirates tie, Castro thus claimed that Leon needs to improve on his understand of the English language to get along with the club staff and teammates.

“With Brayan, I have been following him in our league in Colombia, where he was a very good striker who played finals (played two last year) in Colombia,” Castro told Kick-Off.com.

“He came to Sundowns in a good shape, so that is why I think he is now scoring goals. He is a very good signing for Sundowns.

“The only advice I would give him is, I don’t know if he can speak English, and if not, Sundowns must provide him with lessons to speed up the language learning process and adapt himself.

“He needs to be able to communicate with the staff, teammates, and everybody at Sundowns. That is the only advice I can give him.”
