Morocco’s Brahim Díaz has made history at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals, becoming the first player in the history of the tournament to score in each of his first five matches.

The 26-year-old opened the scoring in the Atlas Lions’ 2-0 win over Cameroon in the quarterfinals, netting from a corner at close range in the 26th minute.

The Real Madrid winger scored one goal in each of Morocco’s group A games at the continental showpiece, netting against the Comoros, Mali and Zambia before hitting a dramatic 86th minute winner against Tanzania in the round of 16.

In addition to claiming a record of his own, Díaz joined former Egypt international Gedo as the the second player to score against five different nations in a single AFCON tournament after the Egyptian managed the feat in 2010.

Since changing his allegiance from Spain and making his debut for the Atlas Lions in March 2024, Díaz has bagged 13 goals in 20 appearances for Morocco.
