According to reports in African football media, Fenerbahce have identified Tottenham and Senegal international Pape Matar Sarr as a transfer target during the next European summer transfer window.

Sarr, 23, has grown into becoming one of Africa’s best midfielders in Europe during the last couple of seasons following his move to Spurs from Metz in 2021.

Now though, with Sarr’s future in London becoming a question mark, Africa Foot has reported that Fenerbahce added the Senegalese star to their list of potential acquisitions.

The report mentions that Sarr will be a ‘priority’ for the Turkish giants, after they had failed to sign Mali international Yves Bissouma last season.

With Sarr contracted to Spurs until 2030, it’s believed that Spurs would be open to selling their midfielder through an ‘attractive’ offer while Galatasaray have also showcased interest.

Africa Foot also claimed that Fenerbahce regard Sarr as a top prospect with ‘significant room to grow’ while he is said to be valued around the €35 million mark.
