Fulham coach Marco Silva recently confirmed that Nigeria international Alex Iwobi is back for the Cottagers after suffering an injury against Brentford last month.
Iwobi was forced off the pitch during his side’s 0-0 draw with Brentford in April and has been out of action ever since.
However, Silva revealed that Iwobi will return for Fulham’s clash against Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday. The Fulham mentor thus took the time to praise his star man, particularly for his versatility and quality.
“Alex is back in contention for the game,” Silva said in his pre-match press conference, as per the Fulham official website.
“Last week, he had some training sessions with us. This week, throughout the week, he’s been working with us. It’s been a good week for him.
“He’s a big player for us, definitely. He’s a player who’s very versatile, who can play in many different positions. He’s also a player that can add extra quality in the decision making.
“In all aspects of the game he’s a key player for us and he’s shown it again this season. It’s a boost. Definitely, it’s a boost.”
