Manchester United legend Nicky Butt believes that Nigeria and Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen would be the perfect fit for the Red Devils as a marquee signing at the end of the season.

United currently have the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee leading the line, while Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have also filled in the striker’s position throughout the campaign.

However, according to Butt, Osimhen’s all-round ability makes him an attractive prospect for the Old Trafford side, while he believes that the Nigerian star would be easy to sign.

“I think he’d be the one,” Butt said, as per Turkiyetoday. “You’d like to think that players from Turkish sides are gettable.

“You’re wasting time on certain players that you’re not going to get if they cost £120 million.

“I think he’s powerful and quick; he can run in behind; he’s strong; he’s got a good touch and can score different types of goals; he’s good in the air.”

Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli in July 2025 and his contract in Istanbul runs until the end of the 2028-29 season.
