Despite remaining in doubt following his recent public fallout, Mohamed Salah’s legacy at Anfield is now statistically unquestionable after he broke the Premier League record for the most goal involvements for a single club.

His assist for Hugo Ekitike in the 2-0 victory over Brighton was his 277th goal involvement (188 goals, 89 assists) for Liverpool, surpassing Wayne Rooney’s mark for Manchester United.

Salah’s journey is remarkable: he scored just two goals during an “uninspiring” two-year spell at Chelsea before reviving his career in Italy.

The £34m signing from Roma in 2017 has since broken countless records, won eight major trophies, and provided 364 goal contributions in all competitions, ensuring that even if the Brighton game was his last for the club, he departed by achieving one final, historic milestone.
