Ertugrul Dogan, the president of Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, has issued a public plea for Manchester United loanee Andre Onana to remain beyond the end of the current season.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper was sent out on loan in the final days of the 2025 transfer window following the arrival of Senne Lammens at Old Trafford.
While the Belgian has established himself with the Red Devils, Onana has found some form and confidence at Trabzonspor, notably saving three penalties in their dramatic Turkish Cup quarter final win over Samsunspor last week.
Speaking to Turkish outlet NTV Spor, Dogan pleaded with Onana to consider making his move permanent.
“Onana already has a clear career path,” Dogan explained. “We love him. As I’ve said before, he has a specific plan for his career. If the conditions are right, we want him to stay. The final decision will be Onana’s.”
Manchester United are reportedly looking to sell Onana in the offseason, though Trabzonspor are unlikely to be able to afford both the transfer fee and player’s wages.
