Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner recently expressed that he shared a funny light-hearted moment with Senegal star Ismaila Sarr following the club’s 3-1 victory over Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night.
Palace inflicted Spurs’ fifth consecutive loss in the league this week, while Sarr scored a brace on away soil as the South London side returned to winning ways after their 2-1 defeat against Manchester United last week.
Sarr thought he had given Palace the lead in the 32nd minute, however, his effort was subsequently ruled out owing to an offside call from the VAR officials.
It appeared as though Sarr’s face, more specifically his nose, had put him in an offside position as Glaser protested on the touchline.
Speaking of the game, Glasner revealed that he told Sarr his nose is too big amid a good performance by the Senegal international.
“A very good first half in total,” Glasner said.
“We started very well, did well, we scored and thought we were 1-0 up and then it was disallowed.
“I said to Ismaila ‘I think your nose is to long’ because you can score a goal with your nose and that’s why it was offside, with your forehead”.
