Paris Saint-Germain youth talent Fabio Domingos has chosen to represent Cape Verde and has been called up as a late addition to the nation’s squad ahead of the FIFA Series in New Zealand.

The 18-year-old was also eligible to represent Luxembourg and was named in the European nation’s squad for the March international window but has opted to join the Blue Sharks.

Domingos’ brothers, Leonel Monteiro Domingos and Hugo Domingos, both represented Luxembourg at U-19 level, earning four caps and six caps respectively.

Born in Luxembourg to parents from Cape Verde, the left winger was named in head coach Bubista’s squad to replace striker Gilson Benchimol.

He joined PSG at the start of the 2025/26 season from Metz’s U-19 side and now represents the Parisian club’s U-23 side.

Domingos is the sixth new player named in the nation’s squad for its upcoming friendlies in New Zealand, joining goalkeeper Carlos dos Santos, defender Jorginho Soares, midfielders Jordan Mendes and Ayoni Santos, and striker Ieltsin Camões.

Cape Verde will face Chile on Friday 27 March before wrapping up the international window against Finland on Monday 30 March.
