Nigeria coach Eric Chelle has named a formidable squad for the upcoming 2026 Unity Cup mini-tournament in London.
The Super Eagles will face Zimbabwe, Poland and Nigeria between 26 May and 10 June as the nation looks to end off their international duties on a high.
Wrexham AFC goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo received a call-up by Chelle as a debutant, while Michael Atata got the nod for the first time after keeping 16 clean sheet for Ikorodu City in the Nigeria Premier League so far this season.
“I will comb Europe and invite new players of Nigerian descent, alongside those who were previously called up but never got the chance to feature,” Chelle said in April, as per Punch NG.
“Top players from the Nigeria Premier Football League will also be considered, as I will be watching a number of domestic league games from now until the end of the season.”
Apart from the newer talents, Nigeria will be spearheaded by the likes of Atletico Madrid star Ademola Lookman and talismanic forward Victor Osimhen.
