With Cameroon international Andre Onana yet to make a decision on his immediate future, it’s been reported that the on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper will report for pre-season duty ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Onana joined Trabzonspor on loan for the current campaign, while United signed Senne Lammens for the primary goalkeeping position at the club.
With the Belgian cementing his place in the team swiftly, it was later revealed that the club will look to offload Onana in the coming months.
However, AOL recently reported that Onana will return to United for pre-season preparation while the club look to sort out a potential transfer.
The report mentions that Onana will join up with the team in mid-July, before their opening tie against Wrexham on 18 July, a day before the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
While Lammens is set to be called by Belgium for the showpiece, Onana will not feature given Cameroon’s failed qualification campaign.
It’s believed that Onana will now mix it up with some of the younger goalkeepers at the club during pre-season, including the likes of Will Murdock and Cameron Byrne-Hughe, while the promising Radek Vitek’s future is yet to be decided following a successful loan spell at Bristol City.
